Niederstätter: History and Vision

People dedicated to making a difference

For more than 50 years our family-run business has been developing customised solutions for construction firms, public-sector organisations, and installation and demolition companies, empowering them to focus on their core business.

Our key to success has always been the people in our company. We focus on professional consultation and supportive guidance, and actively invest in the latest technologies, efficiency-enhancing working methods and continuous professional development. We work with the products that have proven dependable through our years of experience, and nurture our partnerships and team-oriented working environment. This is what drives innovation. Today, Niederstätter is one of the leading names in the Italian construction sector.

Balancing tradition and innovation

The history of Niederstätter started in 1974. At just 20 years old, Maria Niederstätter took over a hardware shop in Bolzano – the first step in laying the foundation for the company as it is today. Quality and innovation have been part of the Niederstätter identity from its very first investments in machinery and services. Maria and her brother Anton shaped the corporate culture with their approach to service and staff, while sister Hildegard brought a unique dynamic to the company with her networking and second-hand market expertise. Today, under the leadership of the next generation – siblings Daniela and Manuel Niederstätter – our company works on projects throughout Italy.

Milestones

Our company’s history is marked by some significant milestones. In 1985 we expanded into the rental of construction machinery. Five years later we started on the path of selling Liebherr cranes. In 2007, the 15,000 m² storage facility in Campodazzo was completed and is still to this day the location of our company headquarters. After another five years, a large crane storage facility for the hire and sale of Liebherr cranes. Our continuing education school, Niederstätter Academy, has been in operation since 2014 – and with over ten years of course offerings, has hosted thousands of participants.

And today? We employ over 100 people in our company and stay true to our priorities: quality of our machinery, our team and our training programmes.

Culture: A constant companion

Supporting regional art and cultural projects has been a priority for the entire family for years. Together with our curator Sabine Gamper, we bring a wide range of exciting projects to life. We believe culture is a corporate responsibility – it strengthens our corporate identity, stimulates our creativity and insight, and creates spaces for exchange, reflection and emotion. This makes us more open-minded and forward-thinking, and has a positive impact on the motivation and well-being of our employees.

Success built on vision

Modern technologies, superior-quality products and a culture of trust and collaboration are the cornerstones of our success. It is our expertise, curiosity and courage to constantly explore new paths that define us as Niederstätter. We can only succeed as a team, with each of us contributing our individual talents.

We work with partners who share our values – trust, transparency, accountability, and a commitment to continuous growth. This shared mindset is the foundation for creating robust solutions.
